The story centers on Seri Koyuki, an ordinary high school student who goes out of his way to avoid strange people. This person, suffering from chūnibyō syndrome, thinks he is a knight and that his eye patch is used to seal his dark alter-ego: Michael Offenbarung Dunkelheit, a god of destruction.

Thus begins Seri's busy high school life, surrounded by people each more crazy than the next.
