Based on the manga Memoirs of Vanitas by Mochizuki Jun.

Paris, 19th century.

During a trip in an airship, Noe notices a young girl who seems to be in rather bad shape. So he spends some time with her, telling her stories to reassure her, and quite naturally comes to explain to her the reasons for his trip: he is looking for the "Book of Vanitas" which, according to legend, has the power to kill the majority of vampires.
Shortly after, the duo are attacked by mysterious individuals claiming that the young lady is very dangerous and that she must come with them.
