Shinichi Kudo is a brilliant high school student with a bright future. He lives alone because his parents live in the United States, but he spends a lot of time with Ran, his childhood friend whom he loves in secret, or with Professor Agasa. He is an excellent detective, who has a sense of observation and a very good spirit of deduction, but one day, he will be surprised while spying on two suspicious men in black. They will then make him take a medicine that is supposed to kill him, but which will make him look younger and he will become a 6-year-old child again. Stuck in this body, Shinichi will then pretend to be Conan Edogawa, the professor's nephew, and will be "adopted" by Ran, whose father is a private detective. Conan thus hopes to find the men in black, and finally become himself again.
