Arslan, an 11-year-old prince, gives his best to one day succeed his father, King Andragoras, on the throne. But discreet and not inclined to the art of combat, Arslan struggles to value himself in the eyes of the royal family. It is during an ordinary day in Ectabana, capital of the kingdom of Parse, that the young boy will save three young individuals from a prisoner, who will then take him hostage while he flees, then release him. During their run, Arslan will realize that many inequalities remain in his world.

Three years later, the kingdom of Lusitania declares war on the kingdom of Parse. The 14-year-old prince is entrusted with an army and must take part in the battle.
