Asta and Yuno are two 15-year-old teenagers who grew up together in a small village in Clover Kingdom. The ultimate goal of both of them is to become the next mage-emperor! Asta is the only one unable to produce any magical spark. Far from being discouraged, he nevertheless participates with his friend (and rival) Yuno in the annual grimoire ceremony which brings together 15-year-olds from all over the kingdom of Clover. During this ceremony, Yuno will receive a legendary grimoire. Which is not the case for Asta because unfortunately for him, no grimoire will be assigned to him that day. But Asta won't give up, no matter how hard he tries, he intends to compete with Yuno to achieve his dream...
