Mudkip (Japanese: ミズゴロウ Mizugorou) is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves into Marshtomp starting at level 16, which evolves into Swampert starting at level 36. Mudkip is one of three starter Pokémon of Hoenn available at the beginning of Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire.
